The church administrative office is located in the Parish House.

The heart of a congregation is its many volunteers. However, the day-to-day operation of the church, the coordination of all the activities, and the lines of communication to the membership all fall to the staff. The Unitarian Universalist Church of Washington County is very fortunate to have dedicated staff who work hard to meet the many needs of our church and membership.


Reverend Christine RileyMinister – Reverend Christine Riley

Reverend Christine is a native Oregonian.  She previously served UU churches in the Pacific Northwest and Tennessee before being called to serve this church in 2007.  Reverend Christine holds Bachelors of Science, Masters of Divinity and Post-Master’s Degrees. In addition to her pastoral duties with church services and pastoral care, Reverend Christine is the chief administrator for all functions of the church, including staff and buildings. Reverend Sue AyerRetired Minister Emerita – Reverend Sue Ayer

After Reverand Sue Ayer retired from full-time parish work, her ministry with the wider community brought her to our church where she assisted in many ways for more than a decade. In her previous service to our church she served with Pastoral Care and Membership committees and did community outreach on behalf of the church. Though she has retired from all those duties, Reverend Sue remains an important and well-loved member of our church. When she is able, she still participates in various covenant groups and attends worship services. We are blessed to continue to have her as a part of our beloved community. She can be reached at


Music Director – Raymond Elliott

Oregon native, Raymond Elliott has been a musician for almost 40 years.  In July 2016 he became our church’s Music Director.  Ray’s goals are to encourage people of all ages to express themselves through music, to develop their skills and self-esteem, and to discover the joy of music expression.  As an active arranger of choral music, Raymond fosters a soulful, rhythmic style that resonates with singers and audiences alike.  In addition to his work at UUCCWC, Raymond is the Artistic Director of Confluence: The Willamette Valley LGBT Chorus.  He sings in Consonare Chorale and holds a membership with Unitarian Universalist Musicians Network (UUMN), American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), and United Church of Christ Musicians Association (UCCMA).  He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Portland State University and Masters work at the University of Oregon.  You can reach Raymond by email at or by calling the office.


Sandi CarnerChildren’s Religious Exploration Director- Sandi Carner

Sandi has served this church and community for a number of  years and in many volunteer and part-time positions. She has taught in Sunday School classes, coordinated children and youth activities, and served in the office to support religious exploration efforts. She is now the Religious Exploration Director, in charge of coordination of all education efforts and recruiting and mentoring volunteer teachers. Ingrid Accompanist – Ingrid Unterseher

Ingrid is a native Oregonian, hailing from the Eugene area, but has also lived in Washington and California. In addition to accompanying the choir and the congregation, Ingrid is active in the Cat House Band and has been at Pacific University for more than 24 years. She has been active in music and theater in various venues around the Portland and Vancouver metropolitan area and has accompanied numerous musical productions. Office Administrator – Tanya Vesecky

Tanya serves as both the office administrator and bookkeeper. The office is open from 9am-2pm, Tuesday-Friday at the Parish House. The office phone is 503-648-1720.
