The beauty of our seventh principle is the way in which it recognizes that we as humans are deeply embedded in the web of existence. We are called to protect the earth and its precious resources, which includes each other. How can we ensure our work towards both environmental protection and human liberation remain connected and intertwined?
Bio: Danielle Garrett (she/her) is a candidate for Unitarian Universalist ministry and currently serves as the intern minister at the First Unitarian Church of Portland. Before following a call to congregational ministry, Danielle spent 10 years working in health care policy and advocacy in Washington, DC. She graduated from Vanderbilt Divinity School and lives in Portland, OR with her wife Mari and dog Jo March.
