Climate Change: Fear, Hope, and Data

Like us, the Earth is ever-changing.  Continents wander around the planet, mountains rise into the sky and are eroded away to plains, animal and plant species come and go, sea levels rise and fall, and temperatures also rise and fall – all occurring naturally without the influence of humankind.  However, for the last 150 years, humans have been rapidly modifying their environment without a care for the future.  Some of these changes appear to be irreversible within our lifetimes, or even many lifetimes. Where can we find hope?  How should we UUs use our spirituality to bring acceptance and peace into our lives?  Join us as John Sharp takes us on a journey through the science, the fears, the dismissals, and the hope of climate change.
