Embracing Abundance: A Multigenerational Berry Communion

In celebration of Earth’s abundance, the season of Summer, and the rich year of ministry that we’ve shared with Reverend Lauren, we’re having our first ever Berry Communion! In Oregon, berry season begins mid-May and stretches through the summer months til late August or even September. Strawberries are the opening act, followed by raspberries, blackberries (including Marionberries), and blueberries. Our all ages Berry Communion ritual will invite us to pause and enjoy these sweet treats of the summer season. Wear your favorite berry-colored garments if you so choose!

This is a Sunday of beginnings and endings, as we take part in a sweet new ritual and say goodbye to our minister, Reverend Lauren. Our Berry Communion will be her final in-person worship service; her final virtual service will be on Sunday, June 29th, “The Magic of the Empty Space.”
