This morning we continue our exploration of our UU Sources as we consider our 5th Source. The 5th of our UU Statement of sources proclaims that our living faith tradition affirms: “Humanist teachings which counsel us to heed the guidance of reason and the results of science, and warn us against idolatries of the mind and spirit.” Our faith community is blessed with a diversity of theological perspectives and we are fortunate to have a thriving and welcoming Humanist Group here. This enriches our fellowship and strengthens our UU affirmation that there are numerous paths to finding the Sacred and coming to know what is right and true in our own minds. Together, we consider different aspects of Humanism that are congruent with our UU faith and supportive in today’s challenging world.
