Forgiving others or ourselves can come readily or be immensely elusive. In our present national and world reality every email, every tweet, every text, every news report offers us innumerable ways to experience hurt, anger, and frustration. These feelings do not just disappear; they can fester and erupt unexpectedly in ways that we may later regret. This morning we reflect on the guidance to be found in our shared UU values regarding truly forgiving ourselves, loved ones, and even those we identify as our adversaries.
