UN Sunday:  All in for Climate Justice: Food Equity and Sustainability

Our congregation honors the United Nations’ 1945 founding with our annual UN Sunday worship and special collection for the UUA Office at the United Nations (UU@UN). This year’s theme, All in for Climate Justice: Food Equity and Sustainability introduces the sacred connectedness between Climate and Food Justice. Lóre Stevens’ sermon “Food Faith” emphasizes “what we eat matters” and the need to “honor and nourish the medicinal ecosystem of food.” Lóre is a Harvard Divinity School student preparing for Unitarian Universalist ministry. She identifies as bisexual, mestiza and atheist mystic. UUCCWC founding member Elaine Nelson will highlight Climate and Food Justice at the UN and local initiatives and activities that you can be involved in to address Food Equity and Sustainability.
