UUs love to point out that “we need not think alike to love alike.” But moving beyond our differing opinions, we meet the truth that humans really do not THINK alike. A significant number of us have brains that are wired differently and senses that are not processing “typically.” When we look beyond the labels that are attached to people, the differences in our brains make us individuals. Finding value in diversity, how can we be more understanding of those around us who are neurodiverse — and affirming of their inherent worth and the gifts they have to share?
